Arwen is my stunning
Norwegian Forest Tortoiseshell Sweetheart.
Her personality is unique. She
is a head butter, and always
wants to make sure she gets her share of attention.
She makes me laugh every day. When I pick her up to hold her, s
he quickly
looks around to make sure all the other cats are watching.
(Remind you of
anyone you know?)
She marks me daily in several places,
so the
other cats will know who I belong to.
Her hearing, also, is exceptional.
She can hear me petting one of the other cats from three rooms away,
and will
come running to make sure she isn't missing out.
Her nature is on the wild side, and it
took me a while to win her trust,
but I had fun working on it. She is a
very quiet cat, which suits me;
she opens her mouth and a tiny little
"meow" comes out.
She is a big boned, copper eyed beauty,
her exquisite outer coat
softer than rabbits fur. Even the fur on her huge, magnificent tail
is silky soft. Her ear and paw furnishings are abundant.
After we had her for a few weeks
my husband picked her up, and brought her to me with a worried look
on his face. "Look" he said, sorrowfully, holding out her paws
for me to see. "She has all this fur growing out the bottom of her feet!"
He thought it was some kind of defect. I had to laugh.
"They're supposed to have fur growing out the bottom of their feet,
to protect them from the icy conditions of the
cold Northern temperatures!" :)
She's a wild girl, yet sweet, soft, and gentle, and I
know
she is going to make a wonderful mother.
Thanks again to Joyce Ellenbecker, from Forestdolls
Norwegian Forest Cattery,
for this blessing to our home.
